Introduction
Background and objectives of the SPA’s budget support alignment exercise - This report presents the main findings of the SPA Budget Support Working Group (BSWG) monitoring exercise, which took place August-November 2003. The aim of this exercise was to obtain information on progress made by budget support donors in aligning and harmonising their activities in a number of PRSP countries in Africa. The results obtained from this exercise represent the most comprehensive data currently available on the progress of budget support alignment with the PRS.
