Overview of country processes and alignment issues - This section of the report analyses the results generated by Part 1 of the questionnaire, which was jointly completed by government and budget support donors. The following seventeen countries are covered: Benin, Burkina Faso, Chad, Ethiopia, The Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique, Niger, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia. Many of those who took part in this exercise report that they found it extremely useful for taking forward the alignment agenda. In those countries where the PRSP was not yet endorsed, the joint completion of this part of the questionnaire provided an opportunity for government and donors to discuss the issue of PRSP/budget support alignment.
